Olympic representative Rado Židek
History:Rado had been doing archery for many years and he had also become a European Champion. When he was a teenager he did a motocross racing. First time he stood on a snowboard when he was nine and he was doing this sport rather for fun than for competition itself. It was his friends who persuaded him to enrol into the Slovak Cup race that he won. This victory motivated him to take snowboarding more seriously. In 2003 he did an autumn training with the former World Vice-champion Jana Sedova. They have been cooperating together since then and Rado has participated in several World Cups. His first bigger success – 8th place in SBX – he reached in the season 2004/05 at FIS World Cup in Saas-Fee, Switzerland. SBX has become his dominating discipline. He regularly takes place in the top ten and undoubtly belongs to the world top racers. He also prooved in the most prestigious and watched event – Olympic games.
